‘Remember Home’

Names carry power. They tell stories, hold history, and connect us to something greater than ourselves. Amai’kiye was the name given to me by my late father. As his only son, named King among my four sisters, he must have known that this name would one day come full circle.

Ama’kiye means “Remember Home.” At the time, it was simply a name, but as the years passed and my culinary journey unfolded, I came to understand that it was something far deeper - ancestral, intentional, a calling.

Now, as I stand at the intersection of tradition and innovation, weaving together flavours from across the world, I’ve realised that my work in food is a direct embodiment of that name. Every dish I create, every menu I curate, and every shared meal is a way of remembering home - both in the literal and spiritual sense.
